ADVERTISING REIMBURSEMENT
PROGRAM |
Purpose of Program |
| To support
Savannah Development and Renewal Authority’s (SDRA)
Image Campaign for Greater Downtown Savannah, the Promotions
and Image Development Committee developed the Advertising
Reimbursement Program. The purpose of the program is
to have three or more businesses to use advertising
to encourage locals and day-trippers from the South
Carolina Low Country to shop, dine, tour and experience
Greater Downtown Savannah.

Eligibility Requirements: |
Program Boundaries |
| Businesses participating in the program must be located
in the following focus areas: |
- Broughton Street Urban Redevelopment Area
- MLK/Montgomery Street Corridor
- Greater Downtown Savannah (north of Gaston Street)
|
Partner agencies participating in the program must be
located or represent entities promoting one of the above
listed focus areas.

Advertising Requirements |
All advertising requests must promote Greater Downtown
Savannah (north of Gaston); MLK/Montgomery Street Corridor
or the Broughton Street Urban Redevelopment Area.

Responsibilities of Partner Agencies: |
| Agencies interested in participating in the program must: |
- Complete an application form
- Include three or more focus area businesses in the advertisement
- Utilize the SDRA Image Campaign logo and slogan (located
in the right hand corner of this document)
- Indicate in the advertisement that it is “Supported,
in part, by the City of Savannah”
- Provide SDRA sign-off authority on advertising proof prior
to publication

Responsibilities of SDRA: |
| As part of the program, SDRA will: |
- Market program
- Verify participation of businesses and/or partner agencies
listed on application
- Review applications based on timeframe outlined in Application
Process
- Notify businesses of decision
- Sign-off on advertising proof prior to publication
- Coordinate the reimbursement

Funding Limits: |
SDRA has allocated
$3,000 to support this program. Funding will be on a first-come,
first-serve basis and will be contingent upon funding availability.
SDRA will fund no more than 25% of the
advertisement.

Application Process: |
Businesses must complete the attached
application form to provide information about advertising
effort for which they are seeking funding. Applications must
be submitted to the SDRA on the last Thursday of every month.
Applicants will be notified on the first Friday of each month
if they were successful in securing funding.

Reimbursement Process |
Only one business/contact person will
be reimbursed for a portion of the advertisement. To secure
reimbursement, the following are required: |
- Submit a final invoice/bill to SDRA

Provide evidence of the advertising
effort (advertisement in newspaper, copy of radio commercial,
picture of billboard, etc.)

Once this information is submitted to
the SDRA, it will take two weeks for a reimbursement check
to be processed.
|
Right of Refusal: |
SDRA has the final decision on funding
the proposed advertisement and has the right to refuse any
advertisement if it does not fit SDRA’s mission or the
purpose of the program. |
